This very handsome, young bison bull was very focused on following a young bison cow at great lengths to mate with her during the rutting season at Custer State Park. He criss-crossed the asphalt road repeatedly in hot pursuit of his love of the moment. In very large herds of bison, there are many bulls who try to mate with as many cows as possible during the short 4-week rutting season.
