This stunning, aggressive, bison bull, located at Jumpoff SD, was posturing himself at the forefront of this group of bison by lowering his head, and arching his tail. Although I stayed a respectable distance from him as I photographed and jotted notes on his characteristics, he appeared to be quite agitated, most likely because this was the middle of rutting season, when the bulls are more aggressive than they normally would be.
