Me and My Shadow
This Longhorn cow was so busy caressing and grooming her calf, that she acted like she did not notice me walking around the pasture. I’m sure she knew exactly where I was at all times. She was so engrossed in nuzzling her new offspring, I could not help but notice how she pursed her lips, much like horses do when they groom each other or show affection to their foals. It is obvious how much this little guy loved the attention from his mama. I am blessed with watching such affection between mothers and their offspring, no matter what the species; they don’t hold back their feelings.
