| This trophy Texas longhorn steer resides in central Texas. While waiting for several longhorns to show up from their hundreds of acres so I could photograph them for prospective paintings, the foreman called them repeatedly. Just when he said ‘they may be out of hearing range’, we heard snapping twigs, tree branches rattling, underbrush swishing long before we saw the longhorns galloping out of the woods towards us. It was an amazing site to watch Tamborine Man run towards us with his horns swaying up and down in rhythm to the beat of his gait. The breeders named him after the wonderfully famous song, Tamborine Man, written by Bob Dylan. |
