| When I was sketching and photographing this small family, there were about 40 cows and a junior bull milling about. This senior bull was nonchalant about my presence. The cow in this threesome appeared to be the herd leader. She did not allow any other cows to come around the bull. She constantly moved around the bull as if to protect him from the other cows coming near him. Whenever and wherever the bull moved, this cow was right by his side with her calf. |
